What we collect, what stays in your browser, and why.

Last updated: September 26, 2026

The short version

Carful has no accounts and asks for no personal details to play. Game progress (bingo marks, your place in a question deck) is saved only in your own browser. We use analytics to count visits and see which games get played. If you sign up for printables, we keep your email address to send them. Ads and Amazon affiliate links may come later, and this page will say so before they do.

What we collect, and why

Analytics. We use PostHog and Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. They record the pages you view, game events such as “started a question deck” or “changed a filter,” your browser and device type, the site that sent you here, and an approximate location derived from your IP address. A random ID is stored in a cookie and in your browser’s local storage so repeat visits count as one visitor. We never send names, email addresses or anything you type to these tools.

Email. If you ask for the free printable pack, we store your email address with our email provider, Resend, and send a confirmation email first (double opt-in). Every email has an unsubscribe link. We don’t sell or share the list.

Nothing inside the games. Games don’t collect personal information. Bingo cards, marks and deck positions are stored in your browser’s local storage and never sent to us. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Advertising (planned)

We plan to show ads through an ad network such as Journey by Mediavine. Ad networks use cookies and similar technology to show and measure ads, and may personalize them. Before ads go live we’ll update this page, name the network, and show a consent choice to visitors in regions that require one (including the EU and UK).

Amazon Associates (planned)

We may link to products on Amazon, such as travel games and car organizers. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Pages with these links will say so above the first link. Amazon sets its own cookies when you click through.

Some pages mention apps made by the same team, such as Roadanza and Hidden Agenda. Links to them carry tags that tell those apps you came from this site. Once you’re on their site or in the App Store, their privacy policies apply.

Children

This site is written for parents and other adults. It isn’t directed at children under 13, and the games collect no personal information from anyone. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, such as an email address, contact us and we will delete it.

How long we keep data

Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months so we can compare one summer season with the next. Email addresses are kept until you unsubscribe.

Changes and contact

We’ll update this page when anything above changes and change the date at the top. Questions or requests: [contact address to be added before launch].
