How to Play This or That

Funny this or that works best at speed: the answers come out before anyone can think better of them.

  1. One player reads both options.
  2. Everyone answers within three seconds. No "both" and no explaining, yet.
  3. After ten questions, each player can ask one person to defend one answer.
  4. Pass the phone and let the next player ask.

Three ways to change it up

  • Odd one out. Anyone who ends up alone on their side has to give a 10-second speech defending it.
  • Guess the room. Before answering, everyone guesses how the group will split. Closest guess scores a point.
  • Silent round. Answer only with gestures: point left for this, right for that. Surprisingly hard to do without laughing.
