These 70 Halloween would you rather questions cover costumes, candy and the friendly side of spooky: black cats, full moons and a ghost who says goodnight. Nothing is gory or truly scary, so they suit a class party, a family dinner in October or the walk between houses on trick-or-treat night. For year-round picks, see the main would you rather questions; for hayrides and apple picking, the fall would you rather questions.

How to Play Would You Rather
Would you rather fits any Halloween gathering because it needs nothing but a reader and two choices.
- One person reads the question out loud, both options, word for word.
- Everyone picks one. "Both" and "neither" don't count.
- Each player gives one reason. Silly reasons are welcome.
- Pass the reading job to the next person, costume and all.
Three ways to change it up
- Class party corners. For teachers: tape a pumpkin sign in one corner and a ghost sign in the other. Read a question, and kids walk to the corner for their pick.
- Costume parade round. Before the parade, each kid answers one costume question in character. The pirate answers like a pirate, the robot in a robot voice.
- Candy pile guesses. After trick-or-treating, everyone guesses how the others will answer. Each right guess earns one piece from the family candy pile.

Frequently asked questions
What are good Halloween would you rather questions?
Good ones are about the parts of Halloween everyone has lived through: picking a costume, sorting candy, walking past decorated houses. "Get raisins in your bag or a toothbrush?" works for a 6-year-old and still gets a strong opinion from a grown-up.
Are these Halloween questions OK for a classroom?
Yes. Nothing on this page is gory or frightening, and nobody gets chased. The spooky section sticks to friendly ghosts, bats and black cats, and no question names a brand or a movie character.
What are spooky would you rather questions for kids?
Try "have a friendly monster under your bed or a friendly ghost in your closet?" or "be a bat for one night or a black cat for one night?" The Spooky section has 20 like that, mild enough for bedtime.
How do you play would you rather at a Halloween party?
Read a question and have guests stand on one side of the room or the other. Ask one person from each side to explain, then read the next. Ten questions fill about 15 minutes between games.
Can I print these Halloween questions?
